Yu Yanxia, Secretary-General of the China Grain Economy Society, and her delegation paid a visit to Xiang liang machinery for research.

On January 13, a delegation including Yu Yanxia, Secretary-General of the China Food Economy Society; Shi Shaolong, President of the Hunan Provincial Food Economy and Technology Society; Wang Daneng, Director of the Regulations and Safety Division of the Hunan Provincial Grain and Material Reserve Bureau; Yin Xinli and Cheng Yunhui, Vice Presidents of the Rice Products Branch of the China Cereals and Oils Association; and Liu Jun, Chief Expert and Researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Information of the Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, paid a special visit to the company for an on-site research mission and convened a symposium on the planning study for the development of the grain industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Yang Yang, Chairman of the company, Yang Shiyao, Secretary of the Party General Branch and Vice Chairman, Xie Licheng, Executive Deputy General Manager, along with heads of relevant business departments, attended the meeting.

At the research symposium, Chairman Yang Yang, on behalf of the company, extended a warm welcome to the delegation led by the Secretary-General of the Association and expressed gratitude for the Association’s longstanding care and support. Secretary-General Yu Yanxia outlined the background and significance of this field visit. She noted that since the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan, China has steadily strengthened its food security foundation and achieved steady improvements in industrial quality. However, amid a complex and evolving international landscape and new domestic development imperatives, the grain industry will continue to face numerous challenges and opportunities during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. This in-depth on-site调研 is intended to directly gather practical experience and insightful perspectives from leading enterprises regarding production and operations, technological innovation, intelligent manufacturing, and supply-chain development, thereby providing a solid empirical basis and valuable policy guidance for the scientific formulation of the 15th Five-Year Plan for the grain industry.

Chairman Yang Yang provided a brief overview of the company’s transformation journey, technological R&D, product portfolio, and market development, and reported on the company’s development goals, key tasks, and priority projects for the 15th Five-Year Plan period. In particular, he articulated views and recommendations on implementing the national food security strategy, advancing industrial transformation and upgrading, and fostering scientific and technological innovation in grain‑saving, loss‑reduction storage equipment and pneumatic conveying systems.

Following the briefing, Yu Yanxia and the accompanying leaders and experts engaged in thorough and detailed questioning and discussions on the presented content. They expressed full recognition of the company’s efforts and achievements in translating scientific and technological advances in pneumatic conveying for grain storage into practical applications and in driving industrial progress. They unanimously agreed that many of the company’s insights and recommendations are highly constructive and representative, offering significant reference value for formulating the development plan for the grain industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

The successful convening of this research symposium not only strengthened communication and collaboration between Xiang liang machinery and national- and provincial-level industry organizations and competent authorities, but also contributed the practical insights of grain machinery equipment manufacturers to the formulation of the “15th Five-Year Plan” for the development of the grain industry. Taking this survey as an opportunity, Xiang liang machinery will further deepen its internal strategic research, actively align with the national industrial planning guidelines, and continue to advance reform and innovation while upgrading its intelligent equipment, thereby making a greater contribution to safeguarding national food security and promoting high-quality development in the grain sector.
